Arte Laguna Art Prize is a rising international competition - in its 4th edition - that is slightly changing the approach towards the contemporary art. Divided - like in the previous editions - in three sections: Painting, Sculpture and Photographic Art, each of which is presided by a quoted Italian critical and curator. This year Igor Zanti for Sculpture, Viviana Siviero for Painting, and Alessandro Trabucco for Photographic Art, supported by Stefano Coletto, curator of the Fondazione Bevilaqua La Masa of Venice, Lorenzo Respi, curator of the Fondazione Arnaldo Pomodoro of Milan, and Rossella Bertolazzi, director of the European Institute of Design of Milan.

Organized by the Cultural Association MoCA and the Arte Laguna Studio, and supported (among the others) by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Veneto Region and Nikon, this contest is aimed to be a reference point among emerging and already affirmed artists by encouraging a confrontation of different styles and techniques. Second goal is to help talented artists in the promotion of their creativity, by giving them the possibility to exhibit their artworks in high quality exhibition settings and to receive the attentions of media.

The Arte Laguna Prize's interest is attributable in the first place to the innovative idea of its founders, that let it be a really accessible competition to any category of artist, but it’s deserved above all to the concrete Prize’s range:

- the possibility to gain a monetary acknowledgment (total amount: 50.000 €),

- the only opportunity for any artist to see his own works in the finalists collective exhibition, that will be carried out in the Venice Arsenale in March 2010,

- the incredible chance for Under 25 artists to be selected for the special collective exhibition in the Venice Palazzo Correr, held in March 2010,

- the possibility to take part in the collective exhibition planned in April 2010 in the Italian Cultural Institute of Wien,

- the chance of being selected for the exhibition “Catch by the Eye, save in the heart” in London (May 2010),

- the opportunity of being selected by the exclusive circuit of national and international Art Galleries for a personal exhibition: Galleria L'occhio, Galleria Perelà, Galleria Giudecca 795 e Galleria Melori & Rosenberg (Venice), Galleria Wannabee, Galleria Bianca Maria Rizzi e Galleria It’s My*, Galleria Bianconi (Milan), Galleria PrimoPiano (Naples), Galleria dell'Ombra (Brescia), Galleria De Faveri Arte (Feltre), Galleria Alexander Alvarez (Alessandria), Galleria Dora Diamanti (Rome), Promenade Gallery Contemporary Art (Vlore) and Koller Galeria (Budapest).
