STEFANO ARIENTI

Asola, Italy, 1961. Lives and works in Milan.

Stefano Arienti employs comic books, plastic shopping bags, telephone directories, train timetables, vinyl products, slides, posters, books, fabrics, carpets: all of these objects have their own functions, their own meanings. He appropriates these

forms, appraising, re-examining and dissecting them. Arienti penetrates their hackneyed imagery and brings it back to life.

(Camilla Pignatti Morano)

Libri tranciati (Cut Books), 2006. 19 cut books, dimensions variable. Courtesy Studio Guenzani, Milan.
