Born 1980 in Linz, Austria. They live and work in Vienna and Milan.

Sulzbacher Petermichl’s work focuses on mankind´s quest for the unspoiled and the original in nature. Their installations, videos and photographs investigate the narrative threads of a confrontation with ‘wilderness’ — individuals placed in front of an inconceivable background. They are interested in the multiple atmospheres created ever since citizens tried to touch their own state of origin, either by indulging in the great outdoors or by innumerable efforts in domesticating nature.
