G.R.A.M.
| The Austrian artists group G.R.A.M. was founded in 1987 by Gunther Holler-Schuster, Ronald Walter, Armin Ranner and Martin Behr. The band has been working for the last 10 years as a duo (Holler-Schuster, Behr). They have been working in various fields: photography, film, video, performance, painting etc. Their works have been shown in many exhibitions all over the world, they received many awards and grants throughout the years. In 1997 G.R.A.M. spent 6 months in Los Angeles, in 2000 3 months in London and in 2007 3 months in Chengdu. Their best known body of work is!Paparazzi and nach Motiven von. G.R.A.M. is mostly interested in popular!or very famous kind of images, no matter where these images come from (popular culture, mass media etc.). Images from these fields are being manipulated, quoted or sampled. The combination of all these!elements and processes creates new contexts.
