23.05.2012 Jeffrey Weiss has been promoted to senior curator at the Guggenheim New York. Senior curator, Weiss will "take on a greater role as part of the museum's core curatorial team," says Guggenheim director Richard Armstrong, while continuing to spearhead the Panza Collection. Weiss has worked at the Guggenheim since 2010 as curator of the Panza Collection Conservation Initiative, a long-term project funded by the Andrew Mellon Foundation and dedicated to preservation and re-fabrication of works of minimalist, post-minimalist and conceptual art. Weiss is currently collaborating with the artist On Kawara on a retrospective of his work scheduled to take place at the Guggenheim in 2015.
