Five European museums launch collaborative video channels

5.07.2012

Five Dutch and Belgium museums – The Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, M HKA in Antwerp, Gemeentemuseum The Hague, De Pont in Tilburg and Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen in Rotterdam – have launched an online video channel through which they will publish original films about art and design. ARTtube
will include interviews with artists and profiles of exhibitions and aims to attrach half a million visitors a year by 2014.

The five museums will develop ARTtube further in the coming years, and their ambition is to attract half a million visitors per year by 2014. The museums are going to approach this public in a variety of ways: via website, social media, digital television and screens in the public space. The museum sector will thus use its expertise in the area of art and education for both online TV and video.
